Without getting to involved in my case I just want to say I was nervous from the get go. A friend recommended me to the Blair defense team and I felt at ease from the start. I recently had the pleasure of encountering Peter Flair at the El Cajon Courthouse, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for his assistance. I had been off probation for almost a year, but due to a clerical error, the Department of Justice still had me listed as being on probation. This error was causing significant delays in my hiring process at a school where I had been offered a job. San Diego City College, actually speaking at High School, my story, to help kids... I was really looking forward to this job. Despite my best efforts, including multiple calls to probation and visits to the courthouse, I was getting nowhere and felt... completely stuck. I even tried to reach out to my public defender on the case, but what would you know, she was out of town for a week.One day two of trying to figure what I was going to have to do to fix this, I went to the courthouse again. I decided I was going to actually go right into the public defender's office and ask for an officer on duty. Furthermore, I had forgotten my minute orders at home, so I was sitting in line with a ticket to be seen to pay for my minute orders again. As I was sitting there, there's that line that's just for attorneys, a gentleman, obviously an attorney, walked in. As he conducted his business, I decided to take a chance and ask, which I now know as Peter Flair, for help. I figure what's the worst he could do, but tell me no or send me to a legal aid clinic like everyone else was. Or express that he was too busy and doesn't give out legal advice. Or even to request me to call his office to set up a free consultation. I was prepared to get anything as a reply. But I do know that it takes many "no's" sometimes to get a yes. He was there on other business, but after hearing my situation, he immediately stepped in to assist me. Peter spoke directly to the clerk, had my case pulled, and got me on the calendar. But then we didn't even need to get on calendar. He just got the clerk to resend the paperwork that was needed that never got sent to DOJ.. I'd like to recommend anyone seeking criminal legal counsel, to seek Peter Blair. My family had recently been struck with legal trouble after one of my family members was involved in a dispute that was escalated. Peter Blair is not only very knowledgeable about the law and criminal justice system but he also really cares for this clients and will do whatever he can to help them. He is honest and helps you sometimes look at things in a different perspective, which is not always something you may want to hear but it helps you get the big picture if need be. Peter helped my sons father go from getting 10 years minimum prison time down to barley 2 years. Not only was he there for us while my husband at the time was dealing with court, but he was also there for us while he served time all across the country. Literally, in 5 different states. Peter was... there for us every step of the way which gave us sense of security, knowledge, understanding and peace. I was pregnant with our son at the time so this was extremely important and helpful. I don’t know how many times I contacted Peter and he answered all the questions I had without me feeling like an inconvenience. Not only is Peter one of the best lawyers in San Diego but he’s also a family man so he truly understands how important family is and keeping them together, which i believe is one of the qualities that makes him the great lawyer that he is. Peter also has great resources, unfortunately during my husbands first case his work wrongfully terminated him. Peter pointed us in the right direction and got us in contact with a lawyer that won our case. To top it off, Never did I think that I’d need a lawyer for myself but when I did, Peter was there for me too. He got my felony completely dropped which saved my clean record. Another quality I really liked about Peter is that he gets back to you no matter what time you contact him. Weekends, Holidays and after office hours, there’s no such thing as 9-5 because whenever you need him, he is there. Peter also owns up to misunderstandings, even if they’re your fault. I misunderstood that for my B&R I needed to bring my court paperwork. Since I showed up without it I couldn’t do the B&R which meant I was a “no show“ and could get jail time, but Peter didn’t let that happen. He told the judge it was his fault, misunderstanding that I “missed” the B&R and because of this the judge gave me two more months to have it completed. I could go on and on about our 3+ years experience with Peter, how great it was and how thankful we are but know this. I would like to thank Peter & Joseph for handling my case with professionalism and diligence. I retained Peter in 2018 and I am his longest standing case to date with his firm. From day one he made the right choice moving forward in my case. Pete and his team are exceptional at what they do and how they fight for their clients. I was facing a lot of time and a lot of fines. I'm not new to the courtroom and how the system works, at the same time I'm no career criminal. All I can say is that I was facing 20+ yrs and more restitution then most people make over several years. There were several co defendants that chose a cheaper route in this... case. Lets just say you get what you pay for...As of today I never saw the inside of a cell and only stepped in a courtroom two times in 5 years. Pete basically had my charges reduced to pretty much nothing with little probation and I can't say that for the rest involved. This law firm will be the only one I will ever be recommending to any family member, friend, or even stranger. Blair is the lawyer you need when your life is on the line and your facing very serious charges.
